When I started growing my own Threads, I had no advertising budget and no strategy planned months ahead.
- Author, content, audience engagement, analytics
- Threads, @polissshs
- Organic, no paid advertising
No budget, no ready-made strategy
I tried different formats, watched how people responded and gradually found the topics and tone that really work on this platform.
Over time the personal account became a full content project. In 90 days the posts gathered 5.59 million views, with individual threads reaching up to 700,000.
In this case I explain which formats I tested, how I worked with the audience and what helped achieve organic growth.
Content and growth
The foundation was personal observations, familiar everyday situations, humour and topics that make people want to share their own experience.
I experimented with short texts, strong opening lines, questions and different ways of presenting ideas. Sometimes a post was built around a short story; sometimes the whole idea fit into a single sentence.
I paid particular attention to comments. On Threads the discussion is often as important as the post itself: it keeps interest going and sustains the conversation with the audience.
Not just views
I tracked reach, reactions, comments, shares and follower growth. I compared posts and studied which topics and formats attract a new audience.
High reach did not always lead to account growth, so I looked at other metrics as well as views.
